NORTHRIDGE, CA January 8, 2021 –Michelle Manire Fowle, Renay Grace Rodriquez, and Colleen Toumayan of Northridge Indivisible announced their campaign to run as a Delegate for CADEM’s State Central Committee in AD-45 and AD-46. The ADEM Elections meeting, which is traditionally held in-person in each of the 80 Assembly Districts in January of each odd-number year, provides California Democrats the opportunity to elect representatives to CADEM’s State Central Committee (DSCC) and a representative to the Executive Board (E-Board representatives). Those who are selected as Delegates are able to vote and conduct Party business at the yearly State Convention.
Michelle Manire Fowle and Renay Grace Rodriguez are running on the AD 45 Progressive Slate. Northridge Indivisible Founder and Chairman, Michelle Manire Fowle, stated, “I’m proud to run alongside such a diverse, talented, and dedicated group of community activists. Our AD45 Progressive slate is committed to issues that affect real people; like Medicare for All, A Green New Deal, ending police brutality/militarization and, instead, invest in communities, ending homelessness, shutting down Aliso Canyon gas storage facility, racial justice and more. We are committed to a people first platform, will vote our conscience, and reject money from the fossil fuel industry. We will not be bought,” stated Northridge Indivisible Founder and Chairman, Michelle Manire Fowle. “To learn more about our slate and the issues we support, go to http://ad45progressives.com/ and if you would like to make an endorsement, you can do so at https://bit.ly/EndorseUS (case sensitive).”
Co-chair of Northridge Indivisible, current Delegate, and Granada Hills South Neighborhood Council Member, Colleen Toumayan is running independently. “I genuinely believe that grassroots organizations and individuals can effect change in society. While change has occurred and hope is on the horizon, we still have a long way to go on so many fronts, and that is why it is my earnest desire to serve once again as a Democratic Party Assembly District Delegate to continue to harness the power of the people and the Democratic Party, stated Colleen Toumayan. “I want to continue to work on central issues such as Racial Justice, Healthcare, Homelessness, Gun Violence Prevention, Environmental Issues, Minority, Women and LGBTQ Rights, Immigration, Voter Suppression, and to take a stand against Human Rights abuses that lay outside our borders.”
