Greater Los Angeles, CA August 2, 2018 – The Greater Los Angeles Indivisible Coalition announced today that they are endorsing Katie Hill for Congress. This coalition represents over 12,000 Indivisible members. The groups support Hill for her stance on critical issues that affect both the local communities that she represents as well as being a voice at the national level. As a lifetime resident of the 25th congressional district, Hill knows the issues that affect her community and will represent her constituents rather than special interest groups. Her grassroots campaign does not serve the interests of special interest groups as she will not take any money from Corporations or Super PACs

“Indivisible Groups of CA-25 proudly endorse Katie Hill for Congress. Since January of 2017, Katie has been beside us as we have spoken out to save our community. She was there when we fought to save the Affordable Care Act. She showed up to fight for fair taxes. She has been there when we have voiced our concern for our environment. As a lifelong member of our local community, we are proud to be working for Katie now. We pledge to help her take back the house in 2018 and support her wholeheartedly as she heads to Washington D.C. to be our representative,” stated Indivisible Groups of CA-25 .

Indivisible groups in Greater Los Angles have been out in force, marching and advocating for critical issues such as the ACA, homelessness, environmental issues, immigration, gun safety, women’s rights, and the variety of civil and human rights issues that plague our nation. Katie Hill has been at the forefront of these critical issues.

“I am honored to have the endorsement of these 17 indivisible groups,” said Hill. “Our incredible grassroots volunteers are the backbone of this campaign and we would not have made it here without them. I look forward to working with the Indivisible chapters to make sure that voters know what is at stake in November and that we flip this district.”

Hill supports Universal Health Care and was in the trenches to help save the Affordable Care Act. As the Executive Director of PATH (People Assisting Homeless), Hill has a commitment to solutions for our homeless which includes our homeless veteran. She is a champion for the environment as she believes that it is imperative to protect this planet. In the wake of the mass shootings that have afflicted our nation, Hill a gun owner herself and daughter of a police officer can reach across the table and be a voice in the debate to advocate for sensible gun safety measures. Katie Hill opposes separating children from their families at our borders. She further advocates for DACA and finding common-sense solutions for our Dreamers.

This coalition for Indivisible groups supports Katie Hill for Congress and will be volunteering with her campaign efforts. Key actions will include: fundraising, canvassing, phone banking, postcard writing, and voter registration. Katie Hill looks forward to pushing our nation towards progress together.
