Activism in the Coronavirus Era

First things first though. . .

Feeling more depressed than usual? Feeling like there really isn’t anything you can do? I get it. The good news is - necessity is the mother of (re)invention. Here are some ways that you can stay active to drive change right from the comfort of your Lysol disinfected phone, desk, and keyboard.

Activism from home:

PHONE BANK FROM HOME.

Phone banking is second to canvassing and a proven method for turnout.

  • There are many different phone banks:

    • Calling constituents in battleground states to put pressure on their member of Congress.

    • Outreach to voters in a battleground district on behalf of a candidate.

    • Recruit volunteers for organizations.

    • . . .and more.

If you’d like to get started with a phone bank from home, contact info@trnindivisible.org.

  • Never phone banked before or need a refresher? Check out this short video from our friends at Swing Left.

TEXT BANK FROM HOME.

Texting is an excellent way to communicate with voters, volunteers, etc. It’s just as important than phone banking and it’s super easy. Here is a list of some progressive organizations that have a system already in place:

SEND LETTERS OR POSTCARDS TO VOTERS.

We’re not letting the Coronavirus nor the virus in the White House stop us from taking back our country. Keep going, wash your hands and stay healthy.

In solidarity.
